Vagrant Boxes
WebStorm makes it possible to execute the init procedure on a project root. After performing init on a project root, the Vagrant configuration file named Vagrantfile is created there. This file can be used for creating a remote interpreter.
Initializing a virtual box
-
From the main menu, choose .
-
From the Select Vagrant Folder list, select the project root to be used:

- Since it is possible to have multiple virtual boxes, specify the particular box you want to work with:

The
vagrant initcommand is launched, and shows its output messages in the Run tool window.
If the Vagrant executable is not specified in the Vagrant page, you can still initialize a Vagrant box. However, in this situation, WebStorm pops up a file browser, enabling you to select Vagrant executable.
Activating a virtual box
Once init is successfully completed, you are ready to perform the vagrant up command and import to the root the box used at initialization.
To activate a virtual box by executing the Vagrant up command, choose from the main menu. The vagrant up command is launched, and shows its output messages in the Run tool window.
